Winter is over and I wish that I’d left.
You’re not used to the weather changing like this.
Heat and stale air are what you know best.
I’m planting a garden so I can remember the past.
And though I am aging, those flowers will last.
You’ll be awake for such a long time.
And all of those waiting (women) will have the same chance as I did.
What am I doing with your scarf around my neck?
Your cold snow is over, but I’m still a wreck.
My voice is all hoarse, the cold’s stuck in my throat.
I drowned all those flowers because I wanted to float.
